The Wagner + Miller studio is a small art studio and office set in a garden. The studio is immediately connected to its garden setting through its all glass walls on two elevations. The studio has a gentle curved ceiling that leads to a slot skylight. The skylight running north/south animates the passage of the sun and marks solar noon with a direct wash of sun across the studio’s back wall. This back wall is clad with felt to provide a surface for pin up and contributes to the studio’s acoustics. Rainwater is harvested on the roof and funneled to a custom steel scupper that feeds rainwater to the river rock filled plate steel cistern.
